In this same space I spoke about energy poverty in our country and the way in which it impacts Mexican women. Let us remember that the lack of access to reliable and clean energy has important consequences that negatively affect health, safety and limit access to economic and educational opportunities for women. Energy policies in Latin America do not integrate development, environmental or poverty reduction policies despite the fact that the region has higher urbanization rates than Asia and Africa.
