May 9, 2024. The Mexican Wind Energy Association (AMDEE) reiterates that it is an ally of Mexico and offers to work together with the public sector to meet the growing demand for electricity and strengthen the country's energy security.

To address this situation, we believe it is imperative to allow the opening of the electricity market for the participation of the private sector in the generation, transmission and distribution of energy, mainly generated through renewable sources. Likewise, it is necessary to reactivate investments to modernize infrastructure, particularly transmission lines, and guarantee a reliable and sustainable electricity system that meets the needs of the private sector.
